When to use

Use Sidebar to streamline task collaboration between agents through real-time chat on mobile. It’s ideal when team members need to communicate while working on the same task, and when it’s important to preserve conversation history for future reference.

When not to use

Avoid using Sidebar when the chat is not tied to a specific record or when collaboration and historical context are not needed.


Configuration

Sidebar can be configured to launch from a record or from global. Add launch Sidebar function to the record screen for user to start a Sidebar chat tied to a record. Sidebar can also be configured as a screen tab for user to view all available Sidebar chats that the user has access to.
