Figma libraries

Guide to the series of libraries ServiceNow provides the community to prototype products and solutions in the Figma design tool.

Resources

Overview

Figma libraries and templates provide the building blocks for you to envision your future implementations with ServiceNow. These resources allow you to prototype configurations to our products and the user interfaces to support your custom applications.

Getting started

What's included?

Our Figma Community includes libraries and templates for the following app frameworks and products:

  • Workspace
  • Core UI
  • Native Mobile
  • Employee Center

Additionally, we provide our Accessibility Spec template to help document accessibility (A11Y) requirements in your design files. This represents how our product design teams document A11Y specifications for our components.

Requirements

The Figma Community allows you to duplicate the shared resources into your Figma account. To take advantage of the libraries in your own Figma files and collaborate with other users at your company, a paid plan is required to publish libraries to your team or organization. Only users with a paid seat can publish libraries.

Environment setup

Each app framework requires a slightly different setup process depending on how the templates and libraries are configured. Make sure to refer to the Getting Started page in the files you download for instructions on setup.

To use these resources in your projects, you need to publish them to your team, workspace, or organization so that you and other designers can use them in your projects.

Update frequency

Figma libraries will be updated as needed for each major family release. These are the twice-yearly major releases that are named after cities (for example Vancouver, Washington, D.C.). Updates will be published 30 days after the release is made Generally Available (GA).

Getting help

The Figma files contain usage guidelines within them that help users productively use the resources. If you run into any issues with the files, connect with us in the User Experience Special Interest Group on the ServiceNow Community.
